Urban Threads
Faced with the need to highlight both functionality and ethical sourcing, I designed a series that used clean composition to simplify complex messaging. Each poster transforms the bag from a mere accessory into a reliable tool for the modern, demanding urban environment.
The Brand
Urban Threads is a modern bag company specializing in high-quality, sustainably sourced bags that blend minimalist aesthetics with maximum functionality. Their target audience is urban professionals and students who value design, durability, and ethical production.
Objective
The primary objective of this poster series was to drive brand awareness and showcase the versatility and premium materials of the latest bag collection. A secondary goal was to emphasize the brand's commitment to sustainability and urban utility.
Theme
The central theme for the series was "Seamless Integration: Life Carried Well." This concept highlights how Urban Threads bags don't just hold items; they seamlessly integrate into the daily rhythm of urban life, acting as a natural extension of the user.
Visual language
I opted for a clean, high-contrast, and minimalist aesthetic to align with the brand's premium positioning. The visual elements balance crisp, architectural lines (to represent the urban environment) with soft, natural textures (to represent the sustainable materials).
Typography
I used a combination of a bold, sans-serif display font (like Montserrat or Acumin) for impact and a highly legible body font for detailed messaging. The typographic hierarchy was designed to draw the eye first to the product benefit and then to the call-to-action.
