Overview

Forked is a food-ordering platform designed to simplify the entire journey — from browsing meals, to cart & payment, to delivery tracking. The redesign focused on clarity, speed, and a scalable design system to ensure the experience feels modern, intuitive, and consistent.

My Role

I owned the end-to-end process: research, user flow definition, interface overhaul, and building a component-based design system to support future growth.

Ideation & Prioritisation

Mapped user journeys to identify high-impact touchpoints

Prioritised redesign tasks that would reduce friction and improve user trust.

Cart & Payment

Users can review their selected items, adjust quantities, and complete payment on a single unified screen. A transparent pricing breakdown saved payment options, and a prominent “Confirm Order” button reduce decision fatigue and streamline conversion. Security indicators and safe payment icons reinforce user trust and total cost, with options to edit or remove items easily. The “Proceed to Checkout” CTA is prominent and accessible. The goal is to provide clarity and control before checkout.

Delivery Tracking

The delivery screen provides real-time order tracking with visuals of the delivery route, estimated time of arrival, and driver details. A live progress bar enhances engagement while maintaining transparency throughout the waiting period. The goal is to Keep users informed and reassured post-payment.

Help Screen

The Help section allows users to connect with customer support or access FAQs directly from the app. Contextual options like “Issue with Order,” “Payment Query,” or “Delivery Delay” make it easy to find relevant help quickly — reducing frustration during critical moments. The goal is to provide instant support when users need it most.

Outcome

  • Login completion time will be reduced significantly.

  • Checkout conversion will be improved due to unified cart & payment flow.

  • Post-order engagement and tracking satisfaction will be increased.
